Landscaping for Sale
It was love at first sight. The Realtor pulled up in front of a house that was landscaped beautifully, flowers blooming, wood door gleaming and sunlight filtering through leafy trees. As we walked up to the front door the key glided effortlessly in the lock and we stepped into the hallway. That was my second home. The exterior was far better than the interior, but I wasn't concerned. The minute I saw it I loved it. I still miss that home. Do you have your home for sale? Then evaluate it from that standpoint. The exterior is a homebuyers first glimpse and sometimes can make or break the sale. I've pulled up in front of homes with clients and they take one look and decide not to look at the inside. You can many times sell a house that is appealing on the exterior and not so appealing on the interior, but selling one that doesn't look good on the exterior is almost impossible. Ensure that your house has that "wow" look when people pull up. Pay extra attention to your landscaping and ensure that your front door is well painted and the lock works well. Put out flowers in pots in the exterior to highlight the front porch. Each dollar that you spend on landscapng will pay off about three times what it cost and get your home off the market quicker.
